Selected Web Design

B-Books Publishing : I designed and developed a website for B-Books, a publishing company based in the Greater Cincinnati Area. The process involved creating a layout that would successfully show the company’s love of paper and written form while also communicating their purpose and showcasing their portfolio.

Appiarius Portfolio - The Horizontal Version : On a more personal note, this is the old version of my portfolio : the fancified, illustrious version that was featured on One Page Love as a good example of a horizontal scrolling website. While designing my old site I wanted to integrate motion, playfulness, and the hummingbird (a symbol of perseverance and beauty). I also wanted to retool some of the typical portfolio jargon into a less serious tone in order to portray my personality. Why did I switch designs to this current version? Well, I thought all of that neat movement and creative writing was obstructing some of my portfolio work rather than showcasing my design experience to its fullest potential.

Music Composer Portfolio/Blog Site : This site was designed for Wordpress to serve as a fully functional showcase of audio selections as well as a professional and personable blog. I wanted the vibe to be friendly and welcoming, a reflection of the composer's personality.

Findlay Market Re-design - This was a 2009 in-class, web design exercise. I chose to re-design Findlay Market's website (which since then has actually been re-designed). The process consisted of heavy research of the brand's competitors, its existing website, its history and its potential. I documented everything in the process book. The rest of the re-design's pages are also viewable in the book.

Other Websites : I have also designed websites and blogs for personal acquaintances and small clients. I use my professional and student background to propel my designs and sometimes, if possible, I team up with my friend to create sites backed by Wordpress. I also aided in the final website design for a larger company while working at LPK...but for now I have to be hush hush about all of that hulabaloo.
