As quoted by the company : "Kiki is a magazine for girls who love life, appreciate creativity, and recognize good ideas. A Kiki reader thinks for herself, has her own look, and is on her way to being a confident, strong, and smart young woman. She's a girl with style and substance!"
I designed Kiki's website to cater specifically toward Kiki Magazine’s consumers, "tween" girls and their parents. The site’s redesign needed to communicate with a playful, young, and fresh point of view. The final design resulted in bright colors, a combination of photographs with custom illustrations, and a simplistic layout.
After the site redesign I stayed on Kiki's team for small jobs and illustrations that included various compositions such as themed mazes, sewing and craft instructions, and character/object renderings - all inspired by the style defined by the art I did for the website.
