During one of my internships, I was involved in the conception and development of the new website for Comforts (a diaper brand featuring a little glowing firefly as its mascot). From beginning to end I was involved in brainstorming, designing, refining, wire-framing, and tweaking.
To supplement the in-house design team, female freelance web designers were brought in to help ideate and design Comforts new site with a "Mom of two or more" as our target audience.
As an intern, I was actively treated as an equal web designer, respected for my innovative and feminine designs and given a majority of the design authority in the final stages of the project.
After going through a design iteration and selection process, I was responsible for merging my design with the layout of another lead interactive designer. From then on I managed client feedback, meetings with developers, the integration of social capabilities (Twitter, Facebook and the Comforts Community page) design tweaks and the development of further product and blog page layouts.
To wrap up the project, I also created and finalized the website's final wireframes.
